About Of OneTouch Ultrasoft Lancets
OneTouch UltraSoft Lancets are small, sterile devices used with a lancing device to obtain a blood sample for glucose monitoring. They are designed to be as gentle as possible to minimize discomfort during blood glucose testing.
Uses
- Blood Glucose Testing: OneTouch UltraSoft Lancets are primarily used by people with diabetes to perform regular blood glucose monitoring. The lancet is used to prick the fingertip or an alternative site (like the palm or forearm) to obtain a small blood sample.
- Point-of-Care Testing: They can also be used in clinical settings for quick blood tests.
How to Use:
- Load the Lancet: Insert a OneTouch UltraSoft Lancet into the compatible lancing device.
- Adjust the Depth: Depending on your comfort level and the thickness of your skin, adjust the depth setting on your lancing device.
- Prick the Skin: Hold the lancing device against your fingertip or alternative site, and press the release button to prick the skin.
- Collect the Blood Sample: Once you have a small drop of blood, use your blood glucose meter to test your blood sugar level.
- Dispose of the Lancet: After use, safely remove and dispose of the lancet in a designated sharps container to prevent accidental injury or infection.
