Nexpro 40 Mg is used to treat conditions related to excessive stomach Acidity, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach and relieves symptoms and promotes healing.
Nexpro 40 Mg Tablet can also be used to prevent stomach ulcers caused by certain medicines, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Follow your doctor’s instructions when taking the medicine. The dose will depend on what you are being treated for, but it is usually the lowest dose for a short time that is needed to treat your condition.
It is usually taken on an empty stomach, preferably in the morning or at least 1 hour before a meal. Even if your symptoms disappear, continue taking the medicine until your doctor says it’s okay to stop. If you are taking this medicine for a long time, your doctor may do regular tests to check your magnesium levels which may be lowered by this medicine.
