Azopt Eye Drops contain the active ingredient brinzolamide, which is used to lower intraocular pressure (IOP) in the eye. It is primarily prescribed for conditions like open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

How Does Azopt Eye Drop 5 ml Work?

Azopt Eye Drops (Brinzolamide) is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. It works by reducing the production of aqueous humor (the fluid in the eye), which helps to lower intraocular pressure. Elevated intraocular pressure can damage the optic nerve and lead to vision loss, so controlling it is crucial in conditions like glaucoma.

Usage

• Squeeze out one drop by holding the dropper over the eye.
• Close your eyes and press your finger to the inside corner of the eye (near the nose) for 1-2 minutes to prevent the medicine from draining away.
• To prevent contamination, keep the dropper tip away from any surface, especially your eyes.

Dosage: The typical dose is one drop in the affected eye two to three times a day, as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
