About Accufine 10 mg

Accufine 10 mg contains Isotretinoin, which is a retinoid medication primarily used to treat severe acne (such as nodular or cystic acne) that hasn’t responded to other treatments.

Uses:

• Severe acne
• Acne that hasn’t improved with antibiotics or topical treatments

Dosage:

• Usually taken once or twice daily with food
• Dosage is based on body weight and severity of acne
• Typically prescribed for 15-20 weeks

Side Effects:

• Dry skin, lips, and eyes
• Increased sensitivity to sunlight
• Muscle or joint pain
• Mood changes (rare but possible)

Warnings & Precautions:

1. Pregnancy Risk: Highly teratogenic (causes severe birth defects) – women must use strict birth control during and after treatment.
2. Liver Health: Requires regular liver function and lipid level tests.
3. Avoid Alcohol: Alcohol can increase liver toxicity.
4. Do Not Donate Blood: During and after treatment for at least one month (to prevent birth defects in pregnant recipients).
